Disney Skippers Starts Feud

Kinda neat, there is a mini feud going on with the Jungle Cruise castmembers of Disneyland and Magic Kingdom concerning the treatment of the robotic hippos on the ride.

The Disneyland skippers have founded the AAHCS (Anaheim Animatronic Hippo Conservation Society) which can be found at SaveTheAnimatronicHippos.org.  They want to stop the “abuse” and treat the animatronic hippos kindly.  There, you can view various PSA created by the skippers.

While the skippers in Florida founded an opposite association, HAHA (Homeland Anti Hippo Association).  Like most Southerners, they would like to shoot anything that moves.  XD  Check this link for PSA videos and shenanigans: HomelandAntiHippoAssociation.com.

Which, they’re selling a shirt now!  Totally love it.

Yay for crazy Disney shenanigans!

Also, am I the only one that finds it odd and funny as hell that Californians want to save the hippos, while Floridians want to shoot them?  XD

Having to side with California on this one. Sorry Florida Skippers!

Typography Tuesday: Dìa De Los Muertos
Though Halloween is over, the festivities are not. Today marks the first day of the Mexican holiday of Dìa de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). It’s celebrated in honor of family and friends who have deceased. Sugar skulls and marigolds are traditional gifts used to decorate altars made for loved ones who have passed on. Even Disneyland has gotten into the spirit, with a Dìa de los Muertos display in Frontierland.

That’s so awesome that Disneyland does that for the holiday! I wonder if Mexico at EPCOT does something special as well?

Disneyland’s 57th Birthday, the characters came out for a special song and wave to the crowd!

The Evil Queen in this cracks me up. Look how evilly she’s clutching that red Mickey balloon!
